AN $18 million project to install a fibre-optic cable from Laos to Cambodia has been delayed due to rains and technical difficulties, the minister of posts and telecommunications said Monday. The objective is to support the development of both the fiber backbone network and the metro network in Cambodia. The upcoming Sihanoukville-Hong Kong submarine optical fiber cable (to be completed in July 2025) will significantly enhance Cambodia's international bandwidth, making internet services.
