The QSFP+ optical port is designed for 40G Ethernet, and the protocol is IEEE802. 3ba-2010 and the MSA standard protocol, which defines the interface of the QSFP optical module family as 12-fiber MPO or duplex LC. It includes 40GBASE QSFP+ modules, 40G Converter modules, 40G DACs/AOCs and their breakout cables. 40G QSFP+ Transceiver Module Series include SR4, BIDI, CSR4, PIR4, LX4, IR4, LR4,PLR4 and ER4. The 40 Gb QSFP+ direct-attach cables are available to provide the following types of connections: Single-connection cables provide a 40 Gb (4 x 10 Gb) bidirectional copper or optical connection between unpopulated QSFP+ ports.
